Chinese Tea
Purcraftea teas come from the Blang people of Jingmai Mountain in Yunnan, China which is one of the world’s oldest Chinese tea cultivating cultures. Known for their deep knowledge of ancient tea forests, Blang tea makers produce exceptional teas with distinctive character and aroma.
Our collection includes:
- raw puerh- fragrant, lively, and green-style Chinese tea with high aging potential and bright energy
- ripe puerh- fermented, smooth, earthy dark Chinese tea with natural sweetness and high aging potential
- black tea (sun dried)- malty, red-berry notes with floral warmth
- white tea- delicate, floral, honey-sweet, and lightly oxidized Chinse tea
Most of our teas carry the signature orchid aroma of Jingmai Mountain, a result of Chinese tea trees growing in biodiverse high-altitude forests. Many of our trees average 300 years in age, producing leaves with depth, smoothness, and complexity.
Our Liubao tea is the exception since it comes from the highest areas of Liubao County and is traditionally produced by the Yao people.
By sourcing directly from local farmers, we support traditional Chinese tea communities while ensuring authentic, high-quality Chinese tea at fair prices.
