Tea Leaf Characteristics
Harvested from tea trees over 200 years old, these spring 2024 leaves are gently withered and dried to preserve their natural sweetness. Crafted into 6-gram dragon balls, the leaves are protected from breakage while allowing graceful aging. The spring harvest produces the richest, sweetest flavors without astringency or bitterness, highlighting the elegance and complexity of premium Jingmai white tea.

Location on Jingmai Mountain
Mist Maiden is produced from ancient trees found near Wengdong Peak Jingmai Mountain 1,400 meters (4,593 feet), near the site of the famous Beeking Tree, a famous banyan tree of the Blang People. A cooler climate, slower growth leaf and tree, unique soil conditions, and biodiversity found at higher elevations on Jingmai Mountain combine to produce this fruity, honey orchid flavor which is sweeter and more aromatic, making it particularly prized for its delicate and refined profile.
Blang Ethnic Group
The Blang people are among the first in the world to domesticate and cultivate tea trees, with a history of over 1400 years of tea cultivation. Jingmai producers, including the Blang, have crafted high-quality white tea, bringing out the natural orchid fragrance in the white tea.

Phenomenal tea! This white tea was sweet and delicate, with notes of fruit and sugar. While bright in flavor, it was solid enough to hold up through numerous steeps. Each steep delivered a fresh wave of juicy liquor as the dragon ball unfurled in my gaiwan. The tea came with a small card that included information about the tea, as well as steeping instructions. The folks at PURCRAFTEA are a delight to interact with – very personal and knowledgeable about their offerings. I’m looking forward to sipping on Mist Maiden again and will definitely be trying more of their teas!

I love white tea from puracraft for how clean and soothing it feels and it’s actually fresh from its birthright origin. It’s definitely my favorite The taste is soft and slightly floral, and it never feels overpowering. It’s calming, refreshing, and easy to drink daily. A great choice if you want something light but still flavorful and high quality.

So many others have already said it – this is a beautiful white tea. Steep after steep, notes of delicate honeysuckle evolve into sweetgrass and juicy guava hard candies. I enjoyed this tea during one of those winter mornings where it’s bitterly cold outside, but you’re also aware that there’s more daylight. (In other words, it was February. 🙂 I tend to crave cozy teas that offer both depth and brightness, with the sweet promise of Spring on the way. Mist Maiden did not disappoint!
